So... What Is Reiki Actually Like?
(Because “life force energy” still sounds a little out there, right?)
Okay, real talk—if you’ve ever Googled “What is Reiki?” you’ve probably seen something like:
“Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.”
Or, “Reiki is universal life force energy.”
Which is... kind of helpful? But also kind of like, what are we even talking about?
So instead of throwing more vague words at you, let’s try this a different way:
Reiki is like…
🔌 Plugging into a power source.
You're the phone. Reiki is the charger. The practitioner is just the outlet. The goal? Recharge your battery.
📶 Tapping into invisible Wi-Fi.
You can’t see it working, but you sure can feel the difference when the connection is strong. Reiki helps clear interference so your internal signal comes through loud and clear.
🌊 Letting the tide carry you.
Reiki meets your body where it is and flows wherever it's needed most. You don’t have to do anything. Just breathe, receive, and allow the energy to move.
🌬️ Taking a deep, soul-level exhale.
You know that moment when your whole body softens and you didn’t even realize how tense you were? That’s the Reiki effect.
💆 A massage for your nervous system.
No oils, no muscle work—just deep, energetic release. The kind you feel in your whole system, not just your shoulders.
💡 Turning the lights back on.
After a Reiki session, people often say, “I feel like myself again.” Like something cleared. Or clicked. Or just lightened.
You don’t have to understand Reiki to experience it.
You just have to be open to noticing how you feel after.
Still curious? Book a session, and see for yourself. Or just keep exploring—I’ll be here next week diving into what we really mean when we say, “Reiki works with life force energy.” 🌟
